After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, Shota Ozaki joined a global manufacturing company, where he worked in corporate strategy, marketing, and overseas business planning. He later spent several years in London on assignment.

During his time abroad, he gained first-hand insight into both the challenges and the potential of Japanese companies expanding overseas, which led him to launch the BODALESS service locally. With a focus on cross-border e-commerce and international marketing, he supports companies by designing effective global strategies and providing hands-on execution support to achieve results in overseas markets.

  • Born in Osaka Prefecture, Shota Ozaki graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University. During his studies, he spent time studying in Canada, where he was exposed to cross-cultural communication and diverse perspectives.
  • After graduating, he joined a major Japanese manufacturing company, where he worked on strategy development and product planning for international markets. Based on on-site research conducted with executive teams in Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom, he developed regional strategies using both qualitative and quantitative insights. During the Brexit period, he also served as a PMO for a global cross-functional project, coordinating across manufacturing, legal, supply chain, and IT functions, and leading initiatives to visualize management impact and structure decision-making processes.
  • He later spent five years based in London, where he led the end-to-end launch of products for the EMEA market from the ground up. His responsibilities spanned market analysis, pricing strategy, channel development, and buyer negotiations, ultimately generating approximately EUR 6 million (around JPY 1 billion) in revenue within his area of responsibility.
  • While based overseas, he began supporting Japanese companies in their international expansion and cross-border e-commerce initiatives from a local market perspective. His work extended beyond strategy to hands-on execution, including Shopify development and content creation, with a strong focus on how value is communicated and delivered. After supporting a wide range of industries—including manufacturing, D2C, and food—he founded BODALESS in 2025.
  • Through a hands-on, partnership-driven approach that bridges strategy and execution, BODALESS builds systems that enable the true value of Japanese products and services to be accurately communicated and successfully delivered to global markets.
